Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, is a public law school situated in Patiala, Punjab. It is one of the 27 National Law University located in India. It was established under the Punjab Act No. 12 of 2006, enacted by the Punjab Legislative Assembly for promotion of higher education in law. The university is affiliated to UGC and is approved by the Bar Council of India. The motto of RGNUL is Knowledge Empowers. 

The university offers Integrated 5 year B.A. LL.B Programme and a 1 year LL.M programme and it takes admission through CLAT UG and CLAT PG respectively. Ph.D. programmes are also offered in this university. The Chief Justice of Punjab and Haryana High Court is the de facto Chancellor of the university. Dr. Gurjit Singh was the 1st Vice- Chancellor of this college while Dr. Jai Shankar Singh is the current Vice-Chancellor. The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) ranked this college 9th among all the law schools in 2023. It has a huge campus spread over 50 acres at Sidhuwal, Patiala, offering modern academic environment with well stocked library, moot court halls, hostels, sports and gym complexes and even auditoriums.
